Take Off which is a thriller movie directed by debutant director Mahesh Narayan released today to a highly expectant audience. And the team succeeded to win them. The film stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchako Boban and Asif Ali in the lead roles. The film is jointly produced by Anto Joseph Film Company and Rajesh Pillai films.
The protagonist characters of the film, Sameera and Shaheed are married and settled in Iran for nursing job. This is Sameera’s second marriage, who was divorced earlier due to her work and personal life issues. While at Iran 19 Nurses from Iran are captivated by Islamic state militants. This becomes a tragic turning point in Sameera and Shaheed’s life and what follows is the story. First half of the film is emotional showing earlier life of Sameera, her first marriage and the daily problems faced by a nurse. Second half portrays the actual core of the story.
Fahad who plays the role of Manoj works in Indian embassy and helps in releasing the abducted nurses. Although it drags a bit at times, there are various thrilling moments in the second half which is a plus point of the film. This is actually a real life based story. The camera, VFX and editing works are spectacularly done. Background music is excellent and captures the essence of the story. Fahadh Faasil as always had done an incredible job in playing the role of Indian Ambassador. Parvathy and Kunchako Boban has done justice to their roles. Over all the film, though a bit lagging is very entertaining towards the second half.
