Kappiri Thuruthu Movie got the attention of the Malayalam audience as the popular miniscreen anchor duo Adhil Ibrahim and Pearle Maaney are playing the lead in the movie. Kappiri Thuruthu is debutant Saheer Ali’s directorial venture. The film is produced by Ahammed Palapparambil under the banner of 20-20 Movie Internatnional. Kappiri Thuruthu is a Musical Romantic Drama. The Movie hovers through the period in which Kochi was under the British rule and revolves around the character Mehaboob who was a beloved musician of Kochi. Kappiri Thuruthu takes us to the tradition love and music at the time in its Journey. The director had done a brilliant work and you cannot believe that the film was crafted by a debutant, a strong screenplay is backed by a great direction. The scripwriter has managed to include every detail of the period in which the movie revolves. It needs to appreciated that the film makers have perfectly handled love, music, agony and fight in a realstic way. Once again Siddique stole the show with his brilliant acting. The lead actor Adhil Ibrahim also did an excellent work with a matured and professional performance. P Sreekumar, Indrans, Lal, Shibaji Guruvayoor, Kanaran Haarish, Sunil Sugatha, Rajesh Sharma etc were also present in the film and delivered a decent performance. The music and the camera of the film was also equally good as the direction and screenplay. Praveen Chakrapani handled the camera for the film and Rafeeq Yusuf and Madhu Paul tuned the music for the film. The film was a slow paced one but Sai Suresh’s editing gave it a good flow. FINAL VERDICT: Kappiri Thuruthu is a fresh experience, as class entertainer and a must watch if you are a lover of quality movies.
