Dangal on a race to 2000 crore mark
Dangal was released on May 5 over 9000 screens in China. And a recent update told that it became the 33rd film in Chinese cinema history to cross 1000 crore club. Most recently within completing a month comes another story that the film is inching closer to 2000 crore mark. And that is becoming history! The movie gets remarkable response from Chinese audience.
S.S Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is close behind Dangal. The world wide film critics may wonder with this new competition of two films from the same country itself. Eventhough the Hollywood movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales dethroned Dangal from the top spot, it is still managing to do some great business.
Dangal is a sports drama directed by Nitish Tiwari. The movie was inspired from the real life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters to world class wrestlers. Aamir Khan portrayed Mahavir Singh Phogat’s character while Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar played his daughter’s characters.
