Lakshyam Movie Review
The Malayalam film Lakshyam has hit theatres today, the film is directed by debutant Anzar Khan. The film features Indrajith and Biju Menon in the lead roles. The emotional thriller film’s main highlight is that the film is scripted by tthe Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph, it is for the first time Jeethu Joseph is scripting for another director. The film is jointly produced by Joy Thomas Sakthikulangara, Teji Manalel and Jeethu Joseph.
Lakshyam is about two convicts, Musthafa and Vimal. Musthafa is played by Biju Menon and Vimal is played by Indrajith. Musthafa is a thief and the character is a humorous one, Vimal is a techie who is charged with murder. Both the convicts plan to escape from the prison and after breaking free they have to travel through a dense forest what happens rest forms the main sory of the film. Biju Menon delivered good performance, his humour was as always good. It seemed that Indrajith failed to portray the emotions well. Sshivada played an important role in the film and had done a decent job.
The first half of the film was good and ended with a great interval punch, but the second half failed to keep the pace. The second half stands to be a average part.
The cinematography of the film is handled by Sinu Sidharth and the music for the film is tuned by Anil Johnson. Majority of the film happened in the jungle and Sinu Sidharth managed to capture some great frames. There was only one song in the film and the song was impressive.
